Mitsubishi has struggled in recent years to stay competitive with the more advanced and generally better options from other automakers, the Eclipse Cross is a step in the right direction. Mitsubishi has heavily revised the ASX compact crossover , adding a new engine, all-wheel-drive and new bodywork. The Mitsubishi ASX now provides a broader and bolder look, with full LED lighting. A new 2.0-litre petrol engine is 30% more powerful, with 150PS. Fuel economy and emissions figures are yet to be confirmed. Front-wheel-drive versions come with a five-speed-manual, while the all-wheel-drive version comes with a CVT. Towing capacity for both versions is 1,300Kg. The interior of the Mitsubishi ASX has been upgraded with finer grade materials for both the cloth and leather-trimmed interiors. These are complemented by a black cloth headlining and small detail changes such as the new ergonomic air-conditioning and heater controls which are now finished in piano black and silver.
